Dr Ralph Cox, Jr., MD
Personal:
Ralph Cox, MD is a family physician currently practicing at our Metroplex Medical Centre locations in Fort Worth
and Plano, Texas. He is board certified in family medicine, geriatrics, obesity medicine, hospice and palliative
care and addiction medicine. He is on the medical staff of Baylor Medical Center Irving and Grapevine, Methodist
Hospital in Dallas and Richardson, Medical City Las Colinas and Carrollton Regional Medical Center where he sits
on the Ethics Committee.
Dr. Cox has a life long love of learning. After earning his Bachelors degree from Villanova University, he received a
Masters degree in Physiology from the University of Houston. He went on to attend medical school and earned his MD
from the University of Texas in Houston. He completed his family medicine residency in Long Beach California. He remained
in California and earned his JD, or law degree, from the University of San Diego and became a member of the California Bar.
He subsequently attended the University of California, Irvine where he received his MBA. He returned to Texas in 2003
where he has been practicing family medicine since that time.
He is married and has a son and two daughters and and a granddaughter. He enjoys golf, running and traveling.
